June, turmoil and tokens.

To say that 2020 has been a mess is an understatement. I have never posted much outside of tokens and it’s hard to write something that isn’t positive. Making tokens makes me happy and I’m very lucky to be able to do it. Creating art though is something that can be influenced heavily by emotions. As an example if I have a fight with my wife I am pretty much incapable of creating art, fortunately we rarely fight. I’m working daily to get tokens made, sometimes in the evening and on weekends. This past weekend I’ve mostly just felt bad about the state of my country. So if I fall a bit behind in the coming weeks please forgive me.

Now on to what is happening in the token world. The spreadsheet is being worked on by Silveressa and she is making very good progress. I am going to start looking into the viability of using it as the basis for a new token store that allows people to buy individual tokens. I am not sure how much additional work would be required so don’t expect it within a month or two. Regardless when the Spreadsheet is ready we will find a way to let people have access to it.

I have another guy working on more animated tokens. The requests for them keep growing, if anyone out there would like a chance to help animate existing packs please feel free to contact me.

Doh, I forgot to add this earlier. I added Stripe to the checkout options. So now if you are not a fan of Paypal you can use Stripe instead. I am sorry it took so long to add that as an option.

I hope everybody is staying safe, not just from the current choas but also from the almost forgotten Pandemic that is still looming above everything else.

EDIT: A couple additional things. The sale ended yesterday. If you show up and was expecting the sale to help you get some tokens please contact me.

I will be taking the first two weeks of August off. I will try to get my current work load done before then. Token requests received after today will most likely be in the queue for Mid-August. Thank you.

    Hey Devin,

Just wanted to let you know that for my group, we use a lot of your tokens in our virtual DND game. If you’re looking for something positive in these times, I offer this.

In many ways, you help us not only cope with the separation imposed by this pandemic, but also help bring together players of all races, ages, genders, and even political affiliations. We work together as one to overcome the obstacles and challenges born of our imaginations; imaginations that you bring to life with your amazing tokens. And if this rag-tag group of mine from such diverse backgrounds can come together for that, then there’s hope that we can also come together, as one people, to face these challenges of life and reality.

Keep doing what you’re doing because your work, especially during these divisive times, is helping to bring people together in laughter, joy, and love.

BoogilyWoogily, a simple thank you won’t suffice here. I appreciate you taking the time to leave such a great message, not just the kind words about my work, but that this world needs diversity and that it makes the world better. I hope to bring more diversity to my tokens in the months and years to come. Positivity like this helps me stay motivated and keeps me making the best tokens I can make. May you and your group have many more amazing adventures.

Our group are all lifelong friends and all in the Minneapolis area. DnD has given us all something to look forward to each weekend and has given each of us a place at the table to unload and to feel through the End Times we’re living in.

Your efforts have helped make that happen. Thanks man. Thank you so much.

I’m glad that I could be a part of your gaming experiences. I know things can feel pretty dark, but I think we will get through this. Part of that feeling is that there are a lot of great people in this world, I’m lucky because I get to interact with so many of them.
