Happy new year everyone.
2014 was a good year. In November I switched to working full time on token and gaming related art, not that it was such a big deal, I had one client that I worked for professionally for 9 years that I handed off to a friend of mine. I made over 350 tokens last year, easily a token a day and probably then some. I’m not a great record keeper and I’m basing my numbers off the monthly images I keep for posting on the blog.
During the course of the year I had 4,800+ orders on my site. The vast majority being my free packs. In December alone 800 people showed up to pick up the newly released free Pathfinder 2 set. Sales did pick up though in 2014 and while I can’t retire on this income it is appreciated and helps pay some of the bills and allows me to keep my hardware and toys working.
2015 has already started off crazy, I already have over 100 tokens in the que, quite a few are going to end up in sets which is great. A small chunk will end up in the HeroQuest Prime game the Alex is putting together.
Thank you to all the patrons who have grabbed my free stuff and those that have purchased my work. It’s great to be able to keep making tokens for you guys.
Here is the first and last token I made in 2014. Funny that they have the same pose.
When we put in a custom token order do you acknowledge it via e-mail only when you are about to work on it? Just not sure what kind of time frame I am looking at with my recent requests.
Thanks,
Nick
Typically I try to respond within a day, I’ve been a bit under the weather so your request have not been answered yet.
Turn around time is roughly 2-3 weeks.
I will email you directly in a few minutes.
Thanks.
Hey, Devin!
Just placed a Pick Six order. 🙂
However, what brought me back here (I’ve commissioned you a few times throughout the years) was the skaven/rat-man. We’re using a lot of rat men in our Roll20.net games. Any idea when that token on the front page will be available? Any info about more like it? Just some random rat men warriors would be really cool.
Thanks!
R.S.
Devin!
You may be just the dude I was looking for! I have purchased the “War of the Rings” game by Ares. It has high quality tokens for recording various game info, but the units are all plastic figures. The figures are nice, but cumbersome when playing as they don’t actually fit in many of the map regions. It seems to me that the obvious choice would have been counters, but minis are big right now. To that end, I have been searching for someone who has or can make decent counters to use in that game. Have you, or will you, tackle this?
I’m more than willing to talk with you about it. please email me. devinnight@immortalnights.com
Devin,
A belated happy New year to you! Hope this year includes some prosperity for your wonderful illustrations! The 2nd Pathfinder pack was a nice surprise! Thanks again as always!
You are welcome.
