September: How time manages to keep flying.

September has been moving along a a quick pace. This week I have managed to wrap up a 24 page catalog for Stanton’s Sheet Music. This project was started in May, we didn’t work on it much over the summer so it fell on August and September to get it done. I’ll post an image later… Not as exciting as tokens but bigger jobs like this pay the bills.

I’m also wrapping up a token job that has taken way too long to finish. It contains a bunch of troll characters, Rock men, and a few others. Pic will be added later.

On my list of things to do: A map for White Haired Man, A set of Star Trek tokens for an old friend of mine, an illustration of 6 characters for a new patron, finishing up those damn frost giants, a couple other token jobs and last but not least a series of building illustrations for an upcoming game project. Oh.. I almost forgot the monster illustrations i’ll be doing on a long-term commission.

I will post some images later of my current stuff.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hey man, you may want to know someone is using your tokens, from your token site, for commercial purposes. There’s a piece of software called RPG Cartographer on the iPad which is clearly using your tokens unmodified and selling them as part of a commercial package.

    Hey Gary,
Thanks for keeping an eye out and letting me know. RPG Cartographer is using my tokens with my permission. I actually did a good amount of map work for that program. There may not be any credit given on the description page, but the application does give me credit for the tokens and various map pieces.

    Thanks.

  3. Hi,

Apologies for the off-topic comment, but I couldn’t find a contact email for you.

I’ve recently put out an ebook of my writing, called ‘The New Death and others’. It’s mostly short stories, with some obvious gamer-interest material. For example I have a story inspired by OD&D elves, as well as poems which retell Robert E Howard’s King Kull story ‘The Mirrors of Tuzun Thune’ and HP Lovecraft’s ‘Under the Pyramids’.

I was wondering if you’d be interested in doing a review on your blog.

If so, please let me know your email, and what file format is easiest for you, and I’ll send you a free copy. You can email me (news@apolitical.info) or reply to this thread.

You can download a sample from the ebook’s page on Smashwords:

I’ll also link to your review from my blog.

    Yours,
    James.
